Christmas Party and Family Get Together

Christmas Party

2018 Christmas Party

The 2018 Christmas party event was potluck-based where members donated foods and drinks, and helped Umunna to extend the invitations to everyone without charging ticket fees. The event provided opportunities for both Umunna members and other communities in Winnipeg to gather, socialize and cerebrate the end of the year.

It is also an event used to honor and cerebrate some of our recent graduates from high schools and universities. Some of the graduates honored during the event are:

  • Nwakeze Anastasia, graduated from high school June 2017, gained admission in University of Manitoba.
  • Nwadi Ernestine Gift, graduated from high school June 2018, admitted in University of Manitoba.
  • Ugbah Favour Chisom, graduated from Elmwood high school 2018, admitted in University of Manitoba.
  • Nwannemelu Ifunanya, graduated from Glenlawn Collegiate Institute in 2018 and gained admission in University of Manitoba.

We congratulate all our graduates and we are proud of their accomplishments at this level and pray for more excellent attainments as they progress in their academic endeavors and other life pursuits.

To this end, we thank all our members that made this event successful and pray that 2019 will be a prosperous year for our association as we strive to serve the interest of Igbo people in Manitoba province.
